Geng the Movie - Malaysian 3D animation movie

hye guys. its been a long time i havent heard anything about Les Copaque (Geng the Movie). On 21st august 2008 one of their members did come to this blog and leave a message telling me about their new trailer for the movie. and after two years they have been working for the 3D animation movie, i think now is the time they want to put the movie on screen.

Strange footprints and eerie voices are only some of the things that frighten the villagers of Kampong Durian Runtuh. Stories tell of a beast lurking in the forest at night. Nobody dares to find out what it is, until Badrol and Lim who are on a vacation trip to the same village, stumble into the very heart of the mystery itself. Now it’s up to the two boys together with their new found friends Rajoo the animal whispering boy, Ros the village beauty, and the mischievous twins to embark on a journey of action, adventure and mystery.

Geng: The Adventure Begins is a film that promotes Malaysian culture with various races living in harmony through good and bad times. Fantasy elements have been written into the storyline to make the whole story a lot more interesting and also opening up possibilities for a sequel and spin-offs. A spin-off of the film’s 2 main characters was produced “Upin & Ipin” in their own television mini-series which when released in September 2007 became a national hit. Geng is an action adventure movie, with a feel-good storyline suitable for all ages and the whole family. The movie is fully supported by the Malaysian Government through the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation. The movie received a RM 1 million grant from the e-content fund and MIMOS is providing rendering facilities through their Knowledge Grid Program.
